Liubai Books creates and publishes illustrated stories in which an ordinary object can change the way two people notice each other.
The name on these books
Liubai Books is the Latin-script author and publishing name used for this picture-book work. The Simplified Chinese author name is 刘白 布克斯. “留白绘本” is not used here as a personal pen name.
The second English book, Grandma Rows a Boat on TV, retains the historical publisher value Liubai Picture Books in its existing product record. The continuing identity for new work is Liubai Books. This page keeps that exception visible rather than quietly rewriting it.
What the stories attend to
The current series, Grandma and Boy, takes place in contemporary Chinese urban homes and nearby community spaces. Familiar things—red paper, a rechargeable lamp, a motion game, dough and a child-sized spoon—carry the action.
Grandma protects the safe boundary, offers an action and waits. The four-and-a-half-year-old boy notices, tests, looks again and makes the choice that changes the moment. The stories do not end with an adult explaining a lesson.
Liubai Books and Cursor Unbound
Stories is the reader-facing home for the picture books, their series continuity and their making notes. Cursor Unbound is the broader studio and worldview behind projects across tools, games, apps and illustrated stories. They are connected, but they do different jobs.
